Schedule of Activities

ACAP is finally here!!! Next week, June 22, 2008 through June 27, 2008, NABA DFW will be hosting high school students from various area high schools on the campus of SMU for our annual Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP). ACAP is our annual weeklong summer program for ethnic minority sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in pursuing careers in Accounting and business related fields.

Below is a list of opportunities for the NABA DFW membership to get involved in ACAP next week:

  • Alumni Night on Monday Night (7:00 - 9:00 p.m.)---This is an opportunity for local members to speak to the students about the benefits of NABA membership.
  • Tuesday afternoon in the Computer Lab (1:00 - 5:00 p.m.)--This is an opportunity for accounting professionals to give guidance to the students while the students are in the computer lab working on their project.
  • Thursday in the Computer Lab (9:00 - 5:00 p.m.)--This is an opportunity for accounting professionals to give guidance to the students while the students are in the computer lab working on their project.
  • Thursday Night Talent Show Judge-- (7:00 - 10:00 p.m.)--This is an opportunity to judge the talent show competition.
