Welcome Members, Corporate Sponsors, Friends, and Guests
Thank you for visiting the official website of the Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABADFW). This website serves as the information portal for all of your NABADFW needs by providing up-to-date local, regional, and national information.
We are entering an exciting time in our organization’s history and I am glad you have decided to be a part of it with us. Our theme for the next two years, under the direction of our National President, Walter J. Smith CPA, is “40 Years, One NABA”. Through all the changes our nation has experienced NABA continues to be the leader in expanding the influence of Minority professionals in the fields of accounting and finance. Our mission is:
- To promote and develop the professional skills of our members;
- To encourage and assist minority students in entering the accounting profession;
- To provide opportunities for members to fulfill their civic responsibility;
- To ensure long-term financial stability and provide adequate resources to implement chapter, regional, and national programs; and
- To represent the interests of current and prospective minority accounting professionals.
Though the Black is in our organization’s name NABA is an organization of diversity and inclusion and I encourage anyone who supports the mission above to partner with us as we continue our growth to 10,000 members by the end of 2009.
NABADFW has several exciting events and programs planned for the 2008-2009 year and we hope that you have the opportunity to join us at some, if not all, of them. I would encourage you to check the website periodically to stay abreast of important dates and venues.
Please feel free to contact myself or a member of the executive board to answer any questions about membership, volunteering on one of the committees, sponsorship, or general questions about the organization. Also, please also take a moment to visit other relevant websites including:
